Overview

The London-based venture capital firm that invests in European high-technology companies, Amadeus Capital Partners, has joined forces with the Austrian VC APEX Ventures and they have announced the launch of a new fund dubbed as Amadeus APEX Technology Fund with an initial investment of €80M. The fund will be used to support deep-tech early-stage startups in DACH regions. The fund expects to write checks between €1-1.5M to deep tech ventures with unique and defensible technology at the seed and series A stage.

In addition to artificial intelligence and machine learning, Amadeus APEX Technology Fund will focus on quantum technologies and photonics, mobility and space innovation, autonomous systems, robotics, and other emerging deep tech fields.

The partnership brings together Amadeus Capital Partners’ trailblazing approach to deep tech investing with APEX’s expertise and local presence to drive growth.

The €80M fund has had a first close of €28M and has made its first investment, space tech company OKAPI:Orbits.
