Overview

Purpose : Aix-Marseille Université is opening applications for granting and paying funds for the traineeship period of students enrolled in Master 2 « Biology & Health », study-track « Biomarkers and AI » at the Faculty of Medical & Paramedical Sciences.

The hosting organism : The aim of the action is to provide the allocation required during the training period in work-placement by the French Law regarding traineeships lasting more than 2 months, which must be paid in the form of daily allowance for work-placement (4,35 €/ hours) for a actual working time not exceeding 10 hours per day. Legal working week cannot exceed 35 hours.

The principles and procedure for awarding funding is granted through a list of internships, which are proposed in line with the thematic area of the programme AI and Health and its implementation. Combination with another European funded grant, such as the allowance awarded as part of the mobility for traineeship within the Programme Erasmus+ is not allowed, due to the question of possible double-funding.

Participants must be EU citizens with a European nationality to be eligible for European funding under the project "Advanced Digital Skills AI and Health".

Applications :

The student interested by an internship must be enrolled in Master 2 « Biology & Health », study-track « AI and biomarkers » at Aix-Marseille Université to acquire academic qualifications corresponding to this level. Applicants must send the following documents :

Selection criteria : the choice of the location of the traineeship is the prevailing factor in deciding who gets the scholarship, depending on the location of the internship on the French mainland and oversea territories or in a third country not associated to the Programme Erasmus+. The decision of awarding the allowance is made on the basis of internship requirements, merit and individual qualifications of the student.

Weight of evaluation criteria :

1.the thematic subject of the internship should be perfectly in line with the objective of the Master (3/5 points);

2.the great potential for publication in connection with the results achieved during the internship (1/5 points);

3.acquisition of new digital and technical skills (1/5 points).

The applications of successful candidates are selected by representatives of the pedagogical team of the Master « Biology & Health », which comprises at least 3 members of the pedagogical team, including one representative from the Institut Laënnec.
