Brighteye is the most active Edtech-focused venture capital fund in Europe. They invest in Seed and Series A stage companies. 

Brighteye Ventures has raised a total of $112.1M across 2 funds, their latest being Brighteye Ventures fund II. This fund was announced on Oct 15, 2020 and raised a total of $54M

However, in 2023 Brighteye Ventures has released a new fund (worth 100M €) that is twice the size of Brighteye’s first and is split into two parts:

-Around 95% of the cash will go towards a core investment pool backing roughly 25-30 seed and Series A startups with €1.5m-4m. 

-A minority pool will back five to ten pre-seed companies alongside angel investors and other pre-seed VCs, with cheques between €200k-500k.
