Overview
Call for application for InnoNext Financial Support:
The InnoNext initiative promotes knowledge exchange and collaboration between top European academic talents, aspiring innovators and startups through fully funded innovation internships.
Conditions of InnoNext Financial support:
Talents – referring to researchers from ERC and EIC Pathfinders Programmes - have the right to receive InnoNext Financial Support to Third Parties.
Two forms of financial support are available:
- EIC Pathfinder Talents – Flat Monthly Rate Mobility Allowance
- EUR 2.300 PhD
Maximum amount to be granted: EUR 6.900
- ERC Talents - Flat Monthly Rate Reimbursement
- EUR 5.300 PostDoc
- EUR 4.300 PhD
Maximum amount to be granted: EUR 15.900
The Mobility Allowance is granted to EIC Pathfinder Talents working at a location at least 150 km distant from their usual workplace.

How does the InnoNext process work?
The InnoNext process entails the following steps:
1.Eligibility check by the InnoNext Consortium, based on the Declaration of Honor (DoH), the document the applicants are required to sign to confirm
- the Talent’s affiliation to the Partner programmes, ERC or EIC Pathfinder
- the current workplace location (integrated into the DoH) needed to be compliant with the criterion of a maximum of 150 km of distance.
The consortium will verify the accuracy of the statements through random checks.
2.Matchmaking and selection phases, allowing the Talent and a Hosting Company (HC) to meet on a specific internship position.
The selection and matching finalisation process is supervised by the InnoNext Consortium.
3.Admission to the Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP), concerning:
- The Internship reimbursement for ERC Talents
- The Mobility allowance for EIC Pathfinder Talents
Financial Agreements & Contracts:
The InnoNext consortium Financial Agreement, which includes two types of documents:
- The ERC Financial Agreement (Internship Reimbursement)
- The EIC Pathfinder Financial Agreement (Mobility Allowance)
This agreement includes:
- The Identification of the contracting parties
- The eligibility procedure and criteria for granting the FSTP
- The type of financial support granted (internship reimbursement for ERC or mobility allowance for EIC Pathfinder)
- The conditions and deadlines for financial disbursement
Obligations of Talents Receiving Financial Support:
Talents benefiting from financial support must comply with the obligations defined under the Horizon Europe Model Grant Agreement, specifically:
- Article 12: Conflict of Interest
- Article 13: Confidentiality and Security
- Article 14: Ethics
- Article 17.2: Visibility
- Article 18: Specific Rules for Carrying Out Actions
- Article 19: Information Obligations
- Article 20: Record-Keeping

InnoNext's FSTP mechanism will only be provided for talent from the ERC and EIC Pathfinder programmes, the amounts are subject to InnoNext's provisions and will be disbursed until the available resources are exhausted.
Below is the overview:
EIC Pathfinders: € 2.300 for a maximum of 3 months - Total funding 6.900 €
ERC Postdoctoral: € 5.300 for a maximum of 3 months - Total funding 15.900 €
ERC PhD students: € 4.300 for a maximum of 3 months - Total funding 12.900 €
Funding covers a maximum of 3 months even if the placement lasts longer.
