Overview

The Barcelona-based healthtech VC was founded in 2019, and backs startups from pre-seed to Series A in the US, Europe and Israel. It launched its second fund, the €42m Nina Capital Fund II, in September 2021.

Its focus is on regulated medical devices (hardware and software) that are solving clinical needs — like oncology, cardiology/neuro, ophthalmology and endocrinology. Also tools (hardware and software) that improve the inner workings of our healthcare systems — like care management, clinical trials, health data portability, medical education and manufacturing and logistics.

Their ticket sizes range from 150k € to 1000k €. They invest in preseed & seed focus, and some series A.
