Alphalab

AlphaLab helps early-stage tech companies quickly figure out the best way to build and grow by offering crucial resources including funding, networking, and expertise.

AlphaLab will invest up to $50,000 in the form of a convertible note and receive up to 2% common stock equity from participating companies. Qualifying alumni companies have the opportunity to raise additional capital from the Innovation Works Seed Fund.

They are looking for early-stage software technology startups, companies across software categories including SaaS with verticals such as FinTech, EdTech, Retail, and Healthcare IT, Enterprise Software, eCommerce, Gaming, and others. 

Regardless of industry category, characteristics of a strong candidate include: early version of product that has been tested with initial customers, clear use case, problem statement and value proposition, product launched or can get to market with current team, and a realistic plan to get to the next stage of growth in 3-6 months.

As AlphaLab is a program of Innovation Works, companies who complete the program are eligible for additional funding from Innovation Works’ Seed Fund. Follow-on investment decisions are made independently and based on several factors, including the company’s progress and external feedback from investors and industry experts.
