They enable a range of sector-relevant expertise to build and accelerate product development and transform entrepreneurs and their companies to become attractive investment opportunities within the life sciences industry.

They are a venture capital firm specialised in seed investment for innovative early stage companies. BGV generally acts as lead investor.

BioGeneration Ventures (BGV) was launched in 2006. BGV invests in medical and healthcare innovations that have high potential to positively impact patients, and they manage over EUR 250 million across four funds, their latest being BioGeneration Ventures Fund IV (BGV IV). This fund was announced on Jan 7, 2021 and raised a total of €140M.
