Par Equity

Founded in 2008, Par Equity's investment model is designed to identify and back the most innovative, high growth technology companies in the North of the UK. They're based in Edinburgh and they're investing across Northern England, Northern Ireland and Scotland.  

They are an experienced alternative asset manager, specialising in venture capital and commercial forestry. Through their proactive investment approach, they seek to deliver superior returns for their clients, on a risk-adjusted basis and alongside their environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) considerations.

Whilst their roots are in Venture Capital, they’ve been investing in commercial forestry since 2012. As well as providing the potential for significant capital gains, both asset classes also offer tax efficient solutions for High-Net-Worth Individuals and are often considered as part of a well diversified and balanced portfolio. They manage funds on behalf of institutional investors, family offices, wealth managers and high net worth individuals.

Par Equity has raised a total of £112.6M across 2 funds, their latest being Par Equity Ventures I LP. This fund was announced on Oct 16, 2023 and raised a total of £100M.

Par Equity will write tickets of between £5m-20m in Series A rounds. It’ll invest in between 12-15 deals, taking a lead or support role.

The fund will be particularly focused on healthtech, climate tech and industrial tech, driven by tech like robotics, photonics, advanced materials and artificial intelligence.
