Overview

Planet A is a venture capital fund partnering with European green tech start-ups that have a significant positive impact on our planet while building scalable businesses globally. Their mission is to contribute to an economy within the planetary boundaries. They support innovation in four key areas: climate mitigation, waste reduction, resource savings and biodiversity protection. First in the European VC world they offer scientific impact assessments to support their investment decisions and empower founders to manage and improve their impact.

They provide early-stage funding and mentoring to highly scalable green tech companies – while measuring and forecasting the positive environmental impact of a start-up as our central metric of success.

Planet First Partners announced a new €450m fund for post-Series B companies, with cash from IKEA group — a key backer of climate hardware in Europe. Planet A’s new fund will invest across Europe and Israel, writing cheques from €500k-3m.
