Act backs early-stage companies with outstanding teams, moat-creating technologies, and global scale-up potential primarily from the three technology domains below.

Their focus has two pillars: (1) start-ups that develop technologies with clearly-defined disruptive innovations, (2) deep-tech start-ups with products resting on significant scientific and engineering bodies of knowledge.

-Emerging digital technologies: Solutions that take advantage of emerging technologies, such as AI/ML, robotics, quantum, web3, advanced data analytics, and cybersecurity.

-Technologies for healthcare: solutions that focus on early diagnostics, treatment, and prevention of adverse health conditions, as well as quality-of-life improvement and longevity.

-Technologies serving sustainability: Solutions that mitigate the impact of human activities on the environment, increase the efficiency of resource utilization, and support sustainable economic development.

Their investment philosophy is to identify early-stage ventures and back technical founders with visions and abilities to transform a market or an industry. Our target entrepreneurs develop breakthrough products and technologies establishing new market footholds or pursue novel business models. They invest at the Seed stage—and preferably lead that round—by taking an active role in determining the valuation, executing the due diligence, finalizing the agreements' terms, and identifying co-investors. They target significant minority shares. Later, they go on to taking part in the Series A and B rounds.

Act's initial investments typically start at Seed rounds with ticket sizes of up to EUR 1mn.
