Overview

Practica Capital is an early-stage VC dedicated to backing Baltic founders. They have invested exclusively in tech potential in the Baltic States for the last 10 years. They back great founders in their ambition in seed and selected pre-seed and A stages partnering with them as company builders.

Practica Capital manages four funds with €84M in AUM. To date, they have made more than 50 investments, including great companies like PVcase, TransferGo, Interactio, Eneba, Ovoko, Trafi, CGtrader, and others.

They are the most active Baltic syndicate partner co-investing with local, regional, and international VCs & PEs, accelerators & incubators, angels, corporates, public agencies, banks, crowdfunding platforms and others.

They are an independent local team of investment professionals with long-term pan-Baltic VC&PE, investment banking, Big4 and other advisory experience with Practica Capital, BaltCap, CA IB, Evli Bank, Hanseatic Capital, MP Investment Bank, SEB Enskilda, Summa Advisers as well as former entrepreneurs who exited their businesses.

In 2023, the firm made a first close of its third fund at €32M, targetting to reach €70M to contribute to the early-stage Baltic entrepreneurs’ growth. Through Practica Venture Capital III, Pratica will be supporting Baltic-origin startups from pre-seed to A round operating on marketplace, SaaS and deep tech.

Practica will invest in initial tickets of up to €3M in 25 target companies primarily at the seed stage, making several initial bets in pre-seed and A rounds. More than 50% of the fund is allocated for follow-on investments.

Their latest find has been launched in February 2024 totalling €80M. As a primary investor, the company plans to keep helping early-stage companies in the SaaS, marketplace, or deep/industrial tech sectors that are based in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. It is anticipated that ticket sizes would vary between €1 million and €3 million, with additional funding of up to €8 million.
