Overview

S-UBG Group specializes in developing individual and sustainable financing models that make companies successful in the long term and enable growth.

S-UBG Group offers equity financing opportunities to enterprises with a strong growth potential.

As a venture capital fund, the TechVision Fund (formerly Seed Fund) specializes in financing high-risk startups. For this purpose, money is collected from investors, which is to be repaid at the end of the term with a return. The end of the term is designed in such a way (> 10 years) that they are able to give the startups the development time they need to mature. The TechVision fund and the portfolio companies of the seed funds are managed by a team provided by the S-UBG.

S-UBG AG invests equity and more in successful medium-sized companies from the Aachen, Krefeld and Mönchengladbach region (Rhineland/Lower Rhine/and surroundings). As a regional fund, they finance innovative industries and are not tied to specific sectors. A diverse portfolio is important to them, ranging from mechanical engineering, medical technology, biotech to logistics solutions and full-film providers. They provide medium-sized companies with their strategic know-how and, in addition, up to €6 million in equity capital (even more with co-investors).

The third seed fund was renamed TechVision Fund at the beginning of 2020 and - with a volume of i. hv €55 million – their largest fund generation to date. In addition to private investors, their investors include NRW.BANK, DSA Invest GmbH, the Sparkasse Aachen, Düren, Heinsberg, Krefeld and Mönchengladbach, as well as the shareholders of the Babor Beauty Group and the family holding company Nomainvest.

With the TechVision fund, they are investing up to €6.0 million in the first round in companies in the seed and Series A phases. They make many of their investments with co-investors or business angels. On the one hand, financing rounds of more than €6.0 million can be realized in this way, on the other hand they can contribute industry-specific know-how, a valuable network and a lot of experience.
